Pride in Music eAGM 2020

It’s normally that time of the year where we’d be contacting our members for our Annual General Meeting (AGM), but with COVID-19, we’re having to do things a little differently!

Roll along our 2020 eAGM. This survey will give you all the information you need as to what we’ve been up since launch; from the first cross-industry Pride Marches in 2019 to the MNEK x Warner/Chappell Pride writing camp and our ‘Ones To Watch’ activities held earlier in the year.

It’s also your perfect opportunity to share feedback as to how we’re doing at Pride in Music and help shape how we move forward in 2020/2021. We’ll take on board all responses to help make Pride in Music as invaluable and resourceful to everyone.

PiM X Pride in London

Pride in Music and Pride in London have teamed up to create a special video celebrating Pride 2020 featuring 10 brilliant rising LGBTQ+ artists!

In a year when most Pride festivals have been cancelled, we need to celebrate Pride digitally and raise our voices. Now, more than ever.

Pride In Music are passionate about providing LBGTQ+ artists a platform to showcase their talents at a time when no live stage performances are going ahead.

Performers highlighted include:
Aidan Martin, Bright Light Bright Light, Conleth Kane, ELM, Jonathan, L Devine, lleo, Lloren, Lordin & Tom Aspaul

Women in Music, BAME and Gender Fluidity

Every organisation has targets to increase the visibility and awareness of issues facing Women in Music, BAME and Gender Fluidity throughout the workplace and indeed with our artists, and members, Pride in Music is no different!

PiM has held regular social events throughout the year and we’d love to see a more diverse crowd come together as we look towards our partnership and calendar through 2020.

Nobody loves an extended Diversity Survey but we’ll keep it short and sweet, honest – and we hope to see you as part of our activities in the New Year! Submissions are of course completely anonymous.

LOUD & PROUD

Pride in Music is a non-profit charitable collective working to create a cross-industry network for the LGBTQ+ community, artists and allies working within British Music 🏳️‍🌈

Pride in Music aims to provide a support network to break down stereotypes, to work as an education service to employers and staff, as an entry point to the industry for underprivileged youth and to provide a peer mentoring, networking, and an industry wide social group to help those who may struggle with the anxieties and stigmas that generally arise with these topics. We also work with a number of up-and-coming and developing artists to showcase new music by those who may not normally be afforded that opportunity.

Last year we had the honour of opening the Mighty Hoopla Festival, Student Pride, and provided slots on the Trafalgar Square Stage at Pride in London 2019.

Judge Joe offers his expert musical analysis, then, at the end of the show, delivers his ultimate verdict – one of the songs is declared officially Unflopped.
