LGBTQ+ people in the music industry continue to struggle to openly be themselves in the workplace. In order to help make positive changes in the music industry and to support change across all UK industries, we formed Pride In Music – a collective working to create a cross-industry network for the LGBTQ+ community, artists and allies working within British Music.
Pride in Music is a non-profit charity run entirely by volunteers. Help support our work in increasing LGBTQ+ opportunities and visibility within the industry with a small donation. Any amount will go a long way, from supporting our day to day operations and infrastructure, help provide opportunities for under privileged youth and to help provide platforms for developing artists.
2019 has been hugely successful for our first year – We opened the Mighty Hoopla festival with the fantastic Ryan Ashley, Student Pride with Leo Kalyan, and afforded a spot on the Trafalgar Square Main Stage at London Pride.
We have huge ambitions for 2020 on how we can work more closely with homelessness and LGBTQ+ charities, whether that be with work experience programmes with our label and live partners for underprivileged youth, providing instruments to underprivileged youth or access to tuition and further support.
Any amount is hugely appreciated and will help us fulfil our operations and goals moving forward!
All donations are securely processed by Stripe, our online payments provider.
